PhD students often feel pressure to publish in the most well-known academic journals in order to forge a successful career in research. In practice, it is much more important to find a peer-reviewed journal that fits your research topic, especially in the earlier stages of your career. To find a good match, PhD students should reflect on the 'must-haves', 'should-haves' and 'could-haves' of journals in their field. In this workshop, Andrea Chiarelli of Research Consulting will share his publication strategies and his experiences in applying them when publishing himself.
