RUSI sponsored roundtable: The Middle East, Geopolitics, and International Studies Today

Europe/London
Description

Join us at our 2021 conference for this free public roundtable featuring experts on contemporary politics in the Middle East. One of three free events at #BISA2021.

As the wider Arab world and Middle East continue to be in a state of geopolitical flux, how are we to understand the moving politics of the region? What are they underpinned by, how are they likely to develop, and what does it mean for future relations with the region? We are pleased to host this event in partnership with the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), led by two RUSI scholars, Dr H A Hellyer (also co-convener of our Religion and International Studies Working Group) and Dr Ziya Meral. The roundtable also features guests including Dr Lina al-Khatib, director of Chatham House’s Middle East Program, Dr Bader Al-Saif from the Carnegie Middle East Centre, and Dina Esfandiary from the International Crisis Group.
