IPEG early career event: navigating the academic job market

Europe/London
Description

To strengthen equality, diversity and inclusion in our field, this event has been made available free of charge by the Review of International Political Economy.

Want to know more about the academic job market, but afraid to ask?  This event offers an opportunity for early career scholars (PhDs/ Post-docs/ University teachers etc.) in International Political Economy or related sub-fields to ask questions on a variety of issues relating to the academic job market.

Such issues might include: which jobs to apply for; building a competitive CV; writing a compelling cover letter; and preparing for the presentation and interview process.  The event will follow a Q&A format.

Those answering the questions will include: Dr Natalie Langford (Durham) who has recent experience of navigating the job market and securing a permanent Lectureship in IPE, and Professor Andrew Hindmoor (Sheffield) who has substantial recent experience of organising and overseeing recruitment processes.

Registration for the event will close two hours before the event is due to begin.
