Coalition of the unWilling and unAble: European realignment and the future of American geopolitics

Europe/London
Description

The European Security working group is delighted to present a book talk with Prof. John Deni on his recent book Coalition of the unWilling and unAble: European Realignment and the Future of American Geopolitics (University of Michigan Press, 2021). Burden sharing has been an on-going challenge between the United States and its European allies. Coalition of the unWilling and unAble explores dynamics in this space over the last twenty years. Prof. Deni will also discuss how the current Ukraine war may impact transatlantic burden sharing.

Dr. John R. Deni is a Research Professor of Security Studies at the U.S. Army War College's Strategic Studies Institute, a Nonresident Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council, and an Adjunct Professorial Lecturer at American University's School of International Service.

You can find out more about the book on the University of Michigan Press website: https://www.press.umich.edu/11473281/coalition_of_the_unwilling_and_unable
