Description

This research will examine the intricate relationship between stability and counterterrorism in Somaliland, Horn of Africa. Despite declaring independence from Somalia in 1991, Somaliland continues to confront security challenges, such as the threat of terrorism. The correlation between counterterrorism efforts and the political and social stability of Somaliland is investigated in this research through an examination of the country's historical context, policy implementation, and the results of those efforts. Using primary and secondary sources, this study will also investigate the developing terrorism mitigation and stability policies of the Somaliland government, foreign actors, and non-state groups. Collaboration with international allies and proactive measures have been taken by Somaliland to combat terrorist organizations within its borders. The complex regional security situation is a multidimensional conundrum. Maintaining a compromise between effective counterterrorism and state stability continues to be a challenging endeavor. The present study will elucidate the complexities and compromises inherent in this intricate correlation. For policymakers and researchers interested in regional security dynamics, the study will shed light on Somaliland's counterterrorism challenges and developments.
