Description
The research about United Nations has produce important theoretical developments in International Relations. However, the discussion about methodologies to research the organisation has not been of relevance. This lack of methodologies is broader in critical studies. To contribute to that gap, I present a proposal of methodology that I have developed to explore two processes, the development of neoliberalism and the decision of countries to take part in negotiations at the UN.
This paper presents a methodology developed using the perspective of Foucault and his work on genealogy with emphasis on eventualization. This is based in archives of the United Nations, mostly those from the General Assembly, the UNCTAD and the ECLAC archives.
