Description

This event attempts to offer insights into the mechanisms of conflict resolution and its foreign policy nexus in the case of the disputed territories in Iraq. The discussion sheds light on the location of Shingal/Sinjar and indicates the broader implications for regional stability and governance given Iraq’s geostrategic importance. Local understandings through both academic and activist lenses can contribute to the analysis of how contemporary developments have affected the structure of Iraq’s disputed territories, but more particularly Shingal and provide further recommendations for viable solutions of co-existence.
