Description
Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) is changing the way that scholars work, both as an opportunity and a challenge. Often, the rate of AI-led change outpaces our current capacities to vet and reflect on its evolving meaning within academia. This roundtable gathers journal and press editors to examine how writing, researching and reviewing have been impacted by the increasing presence of Artificial Intelligence in the publishing process, and how best to proceed in an increasingly AI-driven world. To facilitate an organic discussion on generative AI in academia, participants discuss their own experiences and roles, providing perspective and issuing advice for authors, prospective editors, and reviewers for navigating the use (and abuse) of AI in scholarship.
