Description

The horrors that have unfolded in Gaza since 7 October 2023 have shocked the world and polarised political communities in many countries. With a very fragile ceasefire at constant risk of collapsing, it remains important to explore strategies and approaches that could lead from this point to a lasting end to the war. What would an enduring political settlement of the conflict require from each side? What political and societal changes on each side would be needed to sustain it? What external support may be needed to make peace last? What strategies exist for those wishing to promote peace? This event offers space for scholars and peacebuilders working to end the violence and promote peace to share their perspectives about roadmaps for peace – and strategies for those trying to promote it – within Israel, Palestine and at regional and international levels.
