Writing for a policy audience

Policy briefs require you to present your research to a broader 
audience. In this 90-minute interactive workshop, you’ll learn how to 
adapt your approach to your writing — so your recommendations are clear, 
concise and convincing to a less-specialist reader.

About the facilitator
Dr Clare Lynch teaches on the Academic Development and Training for 
International Students programme at the University of Cambridge. When 
she’s not teaching at Cambridge, she works as the chief business writing 
expert at Doris and Bertie, a team of writers that works with anyone who 
needs to write as part of their job. Over the years, Clare has helped 
senior executives at a wide range of businesses and government 
organisations communicate their ideas engagingly and persuasively.
