The utilisation of drones as tool of (foreign) policy

Europe/London
Description

The Foreign Policy Working Group co-hosts with the War Studies Working Group a discussion about drones and its multiple implications vis-à-vis their use in both the domestic and foreign policy practices. This discussion addresses different case studies and expands its scope to shed light not only on the use of drones in the (foreign) policy practice, but equally its implications in international law as well as in smart warehouse management outlining the ways in which weaponised drones have been acquired, deployed, and impacted foreign force deployment. With the extensive use of drones in military settings, this event tackles the controversial history and worrying future of drone warfare.
